YAP, FM – The Yap Fishing Authority vessel docked early this morning, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 7:00 AM, bringing in a fresh haul of 1,000 pounds of fish.
The catch includes 60% pelagic species such as yellowfin tuna (taguw), dogtooth tuna (yasul), wahoo (milchath), and rainbow runner (fofow). The remaining 40% consists of reef fish, exclusively humpback snapper (gadaw).
Fresh fish is now available for just $3 per pound. Frozen fish from the previous catch is also on sale for $1 per pound.
