Agriculture and Forestry Division Holds Fair to Showcase Local Produce

Yap FM - Today at 11:30 a.m., the Agriculture and Forestry Division held a fair after bad weather prevented the full display of its products during the Research and Development (R&D) Conference. Staff, the Chief of Agriculture, invited guests, and community members attended the event.

The fair showcased local produce, including maar and the breadfruit flower, while promoting local agriculture and ongoing research. Live chickens, pork, vegetables, and other local crops were sold, with discounted chicken prices due to overstocking.

Local farmers were encouraged to sell their produce, and breadfruit recipes were displayed to promote the production and consumption of breadfruit and other locally grown foods. The event also featured presentations and product displays highlighting the importance of supporting local agriculture.
