Department of Health Services
The Department of Health Services is happy to announce that Men’s and Women’s Health Weeks are happening again! These events will take place from September 7th to 11th, 2026, and October 5th to 9th, 2026. These services are free for all men and women aged 18 years and above.
What and When:
Men’s Health Week: September 7th to 11th, 2026
Women’s Health Week: October 5th to 9th, 2026
Timing each day:
Morning 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the medical records room
Lunch Break: 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Afternoon: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (or until reached a total of 50 clients)
How to Register:
Check in at the Medical Records Room to get an encounter from and your chart.
Go to the designated waiting area and wait until your name is called for registration, at the OPD front desk. Staff will then guide you to the next station.
What Services Are Available?
Checking blood pressure, temperature, and breathing rate
Measuring weight, height, and BMI (body mass index)
Tests for blood sugar levels, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), tuberculosis (TB), and leprosy
Physical exams and doctor consultations
Prostate tests for men
Breast exams and screenings for women
Cancer risk screenings and follow-up tests
Getting vaccines for Flu, Tdap, and Covid-19
Help with referrals to other health programs if required
Surveys and interviews about mental health and wellbeing
Dental check-ups and appointments
Health education and advice
Important Reminder:
To correctly check blood sugar levels, clients are encouraged to fast (stop eating, drinking any fluids, or chewing betel nut) from midnight of the prior day before their scheduled appointment.
We advise you to bring a small snack and drinks if you have fasted, to ensure you are okay after your blood sugar level has been checked, and while waiting in line for the rest of the screening process.
Please Note:
During these Health Weeks, all Public Health clinics will be temporarily closed to support these events.
Outpatient clinics (OPD) will still be open as usual.
Each day, up to 50 people can register in the morning and 50 in the afternoon.
We encourage eligible men and women to take advantage of these free health checks.
