Position: Product Development Manager
The Yap Visitors Bureau seeks a qualified, motivated individual to fill the position of Product Development Manager. The position is responsible for assisting and advising the General Manager in developing, improving, and enhancing Yap’s tourism products and related activities.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop, improve, and enhance tourism products and experiences in Yap.
● Assist and advise the General Manager on matters related to tourism product development
● Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand Yap’s tourism products and services.
● Work with local communities, tourism businesses, and other stakeholders on product development initiatives.
● Support the development of new tourism activities and experiences.
● Perform other duties related to product development as assigned by the General Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related
field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
● Experience in tourism, hospitality, product development, business, or a related field is preferred.
● Strong communication and organizational skills.
● Ability to work independently and with others, especially with local communities, businesses, and other stakeholders.
● Ability to develop and implement ideas and projects.
● Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
● Must have reliable transportation to and from work and a valid, current driver’s license.
Compensation
Hourly Wage: $6.32
Annual Salary: $13,166
