Yap FM - This past Friday, the Division of Youth Services, in collaboration with the U.S. Army and COM-CRE, successfully concluded its Annual 2026 Youth Summit this past Friday at the Small Business Development Center Conference Room.

The final day of the summit began at 8:30 a.m. with participant registration, followed by an informative presentation on Family Planning and Public Health delivered by the Behavioral Health and Wellness Program (BHW). The session provided youth participants with valuable information while encouraging open discussions about important topics affecting their health and overall well-being.

Following the presentation, participants enjoyed a 30-minute break with light refreshments before returning for a presentation by the Marine Resource Management Division (MRMD) on Climate Change. The presentation highlighted the importance of understanding climate-related challenges and their potential impact on communities and natural resources.

After the climate change session, participants took a quick lunch break before returning for the final presentation of the day, which focused on Cybersecurity. The session provided participants with important information on online safety, cybersecurity awareness, and the importance of protecting personal information in an increasingly digital world.

To conclude the summit, youth participants were divided into several groups for a discussion and reflection activity. In their groups, participants shared what they had learned throughout the day's presentations and discussed how they could apply the knowledge and information gained from the summit in their everyday lives.

The successful conclusion of the Annual 2026 Youth Summit provided participants with an opportunity to learn, engage in meaningful discussions, and develop greater awareness of issues related to health, the environment, and technology.
