Yap FM - The Public Auditor Office released its quarterly report stating their activities and programs for this Fiscal Year 2025 from July to August 2025.
From July 16, 2025 to July 18, 2025 there was a PASAI In-Country Mission and workshop from the Programme Director Sophia Pretrick. The PASAI In-Country Mission is a Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions, a regional organization that supports government auditors in the Pacific. It provides training, technical assistance, and advocacy to improve the quality and effectiveness of public sector auditing in its member countries, helping them to promote transparent and accountable use of public resources.
On August 25 the Yap Office of the Public Auditor welcomed the New Audit Manager at the Yap office of the Public Auditor, Makereta Dyer. Ms. Dyer has over a decade of experience in the public sector, where she specializes in financial management and ensuring compliance with state policies, procedures, and regulations. During this time, she worked in the Federated States of Micronesia for about three years, serving with the FSM Office of the National Public Auditor, initially as Audit Supervisor and subsequently as Audit Manager. She also worked as a Compliance Advisor for the Department of Treasury and Administration in the Pohnpei State Government. Ms.Dyer brings with her a proven track record of leadership and strategic insight.
On September 04, 2025 there was an inspection report on the Gagil Elementary School Perimeter Fence Project.
On September 15, 2025 to September 19, 2025 there was an Annual Audit Workplan Workshop facilitated by Administrative Assistant, Maxine Finnginam and the Audit Manager.
On September 22, 2025 there was an Audit Requirement Workshop targeted at all component units, in collaboration with the Workforce Enrichment Division under the Department of Resources and Development.
