Yap Communicable Disease Report : Week 32

Yap FM - Yap Communicable Disease Report for Epidemiological Week 38, covering the period of August 03-09, 2026. This report presents a comprehensive overview of syndromic trends and activities from 23 sentinel sites across the state, including laboratory‑confirmed cases, public health updates, and recommendations.


Total Encounters: 536 patient encounters were reported across 21 sentinel sites, with DLI on Alert for the 2nd consecutive week.


Dengue-like Illness (DLI): (On Alert)

- A total of 6 DLI cases were diagnosed, reported by OPD Main Hospital (5) and Tamil CHC (1)

- Lab confirmed 6 leptospirosis-positive cases


Diarrhea:

- A total of 4 diarrheal cases were diagnosed; reported by OPD (3) and Gagil CHC (1)

- Laboratory testing confirmed 2 positive cases of E.coli.

Influenza-Like Illness (ILI):

- ILI decreased, remaining below threshold with a total of 11 cases reported by OPD Main Hospital

- Lab confirmation includes 2 Human Rhinovirus, 1 parainfluenza 3, and 3 Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Total Syndromic Cases: 21 cases reported across sentinel sites.
