Starting July 14, 2026, parents or guardians with their students are encouraged to come to the Data Management Office to fill out an application.
Bus pass applications are available at the Department of Education in the Data Management Office until Friday, August 7, 2026 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. For new applicants, whom this will be their first time to apply for a bus pass, a parent or guardian and the student must be present in order to complete the bus pass application. If a student was issued a bus pass last school year 2025-2026, only a parent or guardian can come in and sign for their student's application. Changes in the bus pass eligibility are that a student must register to their school district unless they are attending Yap High School. Eligibility for bus fare assistance will be determined during the registration or after a bus pass application is filled.
Parents or guardians will be informed after registration ends if an application did not meet eligibility requirements. If an application results in the issuance of a bus pass, it will be distributed to the students at their respective schools by the first day of instruction.
Due to the Department's limited funds, applications received after August 7, 2026 will not be accepted. Students and families are responsible for the safekeeping of bus passes. You may call the Data Manager, Arcilla Marlefeg or Assessment Specialist, Elaine Gooliyan at 350- 2151 during government working hours for further clarification.
