Colonia Yap - On September 11, 2024, in the Governor’s conference room, Mr. Bernard Gorong was sworn in as the new Director of the Department of Resources and Development. The oath was administered by Associate Justice Jonathan M. Tun, in the presence of Governor Chieng, Chief of Staff Mr. Benedict Rikin, cabinet members, and staff from the Department of Resources and Development.

Before the ceremony, Governor Chieng emphasized the importance of good governance, public service, and the vital role the Department of Resources and Development plays in the overall efforts of the State of Yap.

After the formalities and group photos, the Governor thanked everyone for attending and expressed his gratitude for the support shown to the new Director of R&D.
