Yap FM - Last week Friday, April 10, the College of Micronesia-FSM Yap Campus held a Career Fair on campus from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., bringing together students, educators, and community members for a day focused on future opportunities and career exploration. The purpose is to connect students with a wide range of employers, organizations, and educational programs. Attendees which were mostly students had the opportunity to learn about different career paths, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into workforce expectations and professional development.
Throughout the day, representatives from various sectors and departments engaged directly with students, offering guidance on employment options, training programs, and higher education opportunities. The fair created an interactive environment where participants could explore potential careers and better understand the skills needed to succeed after graduation.
The Career Fair also welcomed participation from schools and community members across Yap, highlighting the importance of early career planning and community involvement in education. Events like this continue to play a vital role in preparing students for life beyond the classroom by bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world experience.
Overall, the April 10 Career Fair at COM-FSM Yap Campus was a meaningful and informative event, reinforcing the college’s commitment to student success and workforce readiness in the Federated States of Micronesia.
