Yap FM - The Division of Youth Services, in collaboration with the Youth Planning Committee, hosted a Youth Trivia Night on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Small Business Development Center in Colonia, Yap, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event provided youth with an opportunity to participate in interactive activities that promoted teamwork, learning, and friendship.

The evening began with registration, followed by an introduction explaining the activities and rules of the games. Participants first engaged in an anagram activity featuring famous singers, athletes, national flags, and images of familiar individuals.

The main trivia competition followed, consisting of three rounds of questions covering various topics, including sports, food, athletes, countries, and general knowledge. After each round, teams exchanged answer sheets and scored one another's responses as Australian Volunteer Josh Braine read aloud the correct answers.

Following the three rounds, members of the Division of Youth Services collected the answer sheets and tallied the scores to determine each team's performance.

While the final scores were being calculated, Josh introduced a final activity that invited participants to draw what friendship meant to them. The activity encouraged youth to express their understanding of friendship and reflect on the importance of building positive relationships with their peers.

Snacks were provided throughout the event, and prizes were awarded to the teams at the conclusion of the competition in recognition of their participation and performance.

The Youth Trivia Night served as an opportunity for young people to come together in a welcoming environment, strengthen social connections, and develop teamwork through fun and educational activities. The event also highlighted the Division of Youth Services' ongoing efforts, in collaboration with community partners, to provide meaningful opportunities for youth engagement and positive social development in Yap State.
