FSM President pays his respects to Yap State Leadership during courtesy call

Yap FM - On Wednesday, August 28, His Excellency President Wesley W. Simina, accompanied by his delegation, paid a courtesy call to the Governor’s Office in Yap State, where he formally paid his respects to the Yap State Leadership and shared the purpose of his visit.

During the courtesy call, the Acting Governor, along with members of his Cabinet, discussed initial projects and areas of collaboration between the Yap State Government and the FSM National Government with the President and his delegation.

His Excellency President Simina also reaffirmed his commitment to visiting the outer islands of Yap. The visit, previously postponed due to a State of Emergency caused by Tropical Storm Sinlaku, will be rescheduled for a later date.

The courtesy call reaffirmed the continued cooperation and partnership between the FSM National Government and the Yap State Government in advancing projects and initiatives for the people of Yap and the Federated States of Micronesia.
