Governor Francis Itimai welcomes the children representing Yap State in the Children Exchange Program in Japan.

Yap FM - Earlier today, June 10th, Governor Francis Itimai welcomed children who will be representing Yap State in the Children Exchange Program hosted in Japan. The meeting took place at the Governor’s Conference Room at 10:00 am.
During the visit, Governor Itimai emphasized that the trip to Japan will provide the children with a rewarding, educational, and enjoyable experience during their time in Japan. Governor Itimai also highlighted the warm hospitality that Japanese people have shown every FSM delegation that has been to Japan and the diplomatic bonds between the FSM and Japan.
Towards the end of the visit, Governor Francis Itimai encouraged the students to continue striving towards their goals in becoming future leaders of our state, emphasizing the important role young people play in shaping the future of Yap State. Governor Francis Itimai stated, “ One day, one of you will be the one sitting in the Governor’s Chair. “
