Groundbreaking Ceremony held at the Ganir Bridge

Yap FM - Earlier today, December 17th, at 10:00 am, a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the reconstruction of the Ganir Bridge was held at the Ganir Bridge site. This historic moment marks the beginning of rebuilding the Ganir Bridge .
To begin the ceremony, the Master of the Ceremony, Director Alex Gilfiley, gave the welcoming remarks, welcoming dignitaries and guests to the ceremony.
After the opening remarks, the Acting Governor of Yap State, Mr. Thomas G. Tun, gave a formal statement, addressing the importance and the benefits of the reconstruction of the Ganir Bridge would be for the people of Yap State.
The Master of the Ceremony then thanked the Acting Governor and introduced the Keynote Speakers, who were the CEO of the Shandong Company, Ms. Chen Baoying, and the Vice President of the Federated States of Micronesia, His Excellency, Aren B. Palik.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the Vice President of the Federated States of Micronesia, His Excellency, Aren B. Palik, the Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Rose Nakanaga, the CEO of the Shandong Company, Ms. Chen Baoying, the Acting Governor of Yap State, Mr. Thomas G. Tun, the Secretary of the Department of Transportation, Communications, and Infrastructure, Mr. Carlson D. Apis, and Speaker, Mr. Nicholas Figirlaarwon, commencing a historical moment of the official groundbreaking of the reconstruction of the Ganir Bridge.
In attendance at this ceremony were the cabinet members of the Yap State Executive Branch, esteemed members of the 11th Yap State Legislature, Chairman of the Council of Pilung, Mr. Thomas Falngin, Chairman of the Council of Tamol, Mr. Paul Marlul, Congressman Andy P. Choor, Congressman Andrew Yatilman, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Li Hu, and the First Secretary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Ms. Wu Xiaoyun.
