Yap, FM- According to Manta Ray Bay Resort & Yap Divers the local ground agent, The luxury expedition ship HANSEATIC INSPIRATION, operated by Germany’s Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, arrived in Yap today as part of its 26-day journey across the South Pacific and Micronesia.
Carrying 160 guests mostly from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and supported by a professional crew of about 170, the HANSEATIC INSPIRATION is making its way from Nouméa, New Caledonia, to Keelung, Taiwan. The ship is 455 feet long and 72 feet wide, offering a high level of comfort, service, and exploration opportunities.
During their stop in Yap, guests will have the opportunity to experience the island’s unique culture, traditional stone money, lush landscapes, and warm hospitality. This visit highlights the importance of cultural exchange and sustainable tourism in remote island communities.
The cruise will continue to other destinations in the region, including Ngulu and Palau, before arriving in Taiwan at the end of the month.
