Yap FM - The government vessel Hapilmohol 2 departed Yap on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m. for a scheduled long-distance voyage to the outer islands at the start of Fiscal Year 2027.

The vessel is scheduled to serve Ulithi, Fais, Eauripik, Woleai, Ifalik, Fechailap, Elato, Lamotrek, and Satawal before returning to Yap along the same route. The voyage will provide transportation for government personnel and private passengers traveling between Yap and the outer island communities.

In preparation for the November 3, 2026, general election, ballot boxes from the Yap State Election Office were also transported aboard the Hapilmohol 2 as part of the field trip. Their inclusion supports election preparations for the outer island communities ahead of Election Day.

The Hapilmohol 2 is expected to return to Yap on November 13, 2026, subject to weather and sea conditions and other operational requirements.
