On May 3, 2025, the U.S. Army hosted a ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) testing event at the YapIBoom Building in Colonia, welcoming high school seniors and recent graduates, including students from COM-FSM and FMI. The ASVAB is a standardized test used to assess a candidate’s aptitude for military and civilian careers, providing participants with valuable insight into their strengths and future opportunities.
To ensure broad participation, transportation was arranged for students from northern areas who otherwise may have lacked access to the test site. The Army’s efforts to remove logistical barriers demonstrated their commitment to making career exploration and military service opportunities accessible to all interested youth.
Students were advised to arrive before noon, and many took advantage of the chance to connect directly with Army representatives, SFC Kimlee and SSG Jonathan, for guidance and information.
