Job Corps Program Temporarily Paused Due to Lack of Funding Monday, June 30, 2025, /// DYCA PIO

Yap, FM - The Department of Resources and Development, starting today, June 30, 2025, the Job Corps Program is officially on pause. This decision was made because there are currently no available funds to continue running the program.

As a result, the Job Corps Coordinator at the Department is not assisting any new students from Yap State with applications or online enrollment at this time.

For students who are already in the program and located at Job Corps centers, the staff there are doing their best to support them. These students are being assisted with plans to either return to their home islands or to explore other opportunities for education or employment.

The Job Corp Coordinator appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time. The Department will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as soon as there is any change or new information regarding funding and the future of the program.
