Kota Raja Delivers 25 Containers of Essential Supplies to Yap

Yap FM - Earlier today, September 5th, the container vessel Kota Raja arrived in Yap at 7:00 a.m. today from Guam, delivering 25 containers of essential goods and supplies to support local businesses, households, and ongoing commercial activity in the state.

The vessel is scheduled to depart Yap at 7:00 a.m. on September 6 and continue its voyage to Koror, Palau.

The latest shipment includes a wide range of food products, household necessities, construction materials, hardware, beverages, and other commercial goods sourced from several regional trading centers.

Of the 25 containers discharged in Yap, five originated from Vietnam and contain rice, cement, household items, foodstuffs, and batteries. Three containers from China carry diapers, tissue products, construction supplies, refrigerators, and spare tires.

Two containers from Indonesia contain cooking oil and coffee, while two containers from Manila carry assorted foodstuffs and general merchandise. Four containers from Taiwan include petroleum gas, assorted beverages, general merchandise, and hardware.

The remaining nine containers arrived from Guam and contain mixed groceries, assorted beverages, frozen items, and various freight.

The regular movement of containerized cargo through Yap provides an important link between the state and regional suppliers, helping maintain the availability of essential commodities and materials needed by households, businesses, and other sectors of the community.

The next inbound shipment is currently expected to arrive in Yap on November 2. Continued maritime service remains an important component of Yap’s supply chain, supporting the timely delivery of goods and materials needed for daily consumption, commercial activity, and infrastructure development throughout the state.
