Marine Resources Division Collaborates with COM-FSM for Clam Farm Project

Yap, FSM – The Marine Resource Division at the Department of Resources & Development (R&D) has been working in collaboration with the Cooperative Research and Extension (CRE) program at the College of Micronesia-FSM Yap Campus on a clam farm project.
According to R&D Director Gorong, the Marine Resource team is actively monitoring 21 sites across the main island of Yap State as part of this initiative. The project aims to enhance the conservation and sustainable management of marine resources through the cultivation and monitoring of clams, contributing to the preservation of local biodiversity.
This collaboration highlights ongoing efforts to strengthen marine resource management and promote sustainable practices within Yap State.
