Namgil Summer Basketball League Comes to an End

Namgil, Yap – Namgil Summer Basketball League ended last Sunday, August 11, 2024.
Last Sunday at YCHS Basketball Court, the Namgil Summer Basketball League held their Championship game at 10am.The event began with the Peewee category, 2 teams competed for 1st place, then in the Junior category Championship, the 3 teams competed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as the last game.
After the teams played, a small award ceremony was held to award the trophies to the winning teams and remarks from John Noff, a member of the organizing committee, and a junior player thanking the organizing committee for the opportunity given to the youth to evolve and elevate in sports in the community. In first place for the Peewee category was Green Piyunk and in 2nd place was Green Crawler’s. As for the Junior category, in first place was Green Sleepers, coming in second was Green Smoke, and taking third was Green Tip’s.
The event ended with a small appreciative potluck for the teams and those in attendance.
