PMA Celebrates 50 Years of Service: 1975–2025 Friday, June 20, 2025, /// DYCA PIO

Yap, FM - Pacific Mission Aviation (PMA) celebrated its 50th Anniversary this year on June 18, 2025 at the PMA Building, marking five decades of serving island communities. The celebration brought together current and former staff, friends, patients, and community leaders to honor this important milestone.

The event began with a warm welcome from PMA Chief Pilot Amos Collins, followed by an opening prayer from Pastor Peter Haleyalgiy of PMF Yap. Melinda Espinosa, PMA's Chief Financial Officer, shared the history of PMA and how it has grown over the years.

Special stories was shared by those whose lives were touched by PMA, including:

• Peter Reichert, former Chief Pilot

• Dave Rulul Yaluslimar, medevac patient

• Victor Thawalmara, whose wife and son were flown for emergency care

• Pastor John Malimai

• Senator Victor Bamog of Yap State

The keynote speaker was Gidion Moofal, a member of the Yap Evangelical Church. Nob Kalau, PMA’s CEO, shared a special message about PMA’s mission. Staff members are also recognized for their dedication and service.

Messages from board members John Day(Guam) and Matthias Keppler (Germany) that highlighted PMA's impact and support around the world. Finally, Brock Welge, PMA’s Director of Maintenance, shared plans for the future.
