Public Hearing Held at the 11th Yap State Legislature; Budget for  the Department of Youth and Civic Affairs and Yap State Preservation Office Wednesday, July 08, 2025, /// DYCA PIO

Yap, FM– A public hearing was held to review the FY 2026 recommended budget for the Department of Youth and Civic Affairs (DYCA) and the Yap State Historical Preservation Office (YSHPO). The hearing was part of the government’s process to review and decide on the budget for the next year.


The meeting was open to the public, and important government leaders attended. 


These included:


  • Chairman of Finance, Mr. Pius Talimesei

  • Chairwoman, Annemary Laamar

  • Legal Counsel, Genevieve Mreg

  • Budget Officer, Noimilynn Pigao

  • Chairman of Government Health and Welfare, Victor Bamog

  • Vice Chairman, Gabriel Ramoloilug

  • Floor Leader, Terence Fong

  • Chief of Personnel, Elizabeth M. Phal and relevant Staff

  • Chief of Budget, Margaret R. Beengin

  • Chief of Procurement and supply, Patricia Ruecho

  • DYCA Director, Alex Gilfiley and his staff


The Legislature is currently reviewing all government department budgets and discussing a few requests from the Department.
