Scholarship and Training Coordinators Visit Schools to Share Opportunitiesv Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, /// DYCA PIO

From November 2024 until April 24, 2025, the Scholarship and Training Coordinators from the Department of Resources and Development visited several high schools in Yap. They traveled to both the main island and the outer islands to meet with high school juniors and seniors.

On the outer islands, they visited students at Woleai (NICHS) and Ulithi (OIHS). On the main island, they went to Faith Christian Academy and Yap Catholic High School.

During their visits, the Scholarship Coordinator gave information about different scholarships, especially the Yap State Scholarship. She explained who can apply, what the requirements are, and the due dates for applications.

The Training Coordinator talked about the Job Corps program. He explained how to apply, what students need to do, and the deadlines.

These visits helped students learn about important opportunities for their future education and training.
