Special Election District 3; Unofficial Results Friday, May 23, 2025, /// DYCA PIO

Yap, FM- The special election for Election District 3, which began on May 15, concluded with the arrival of the patrol boat earlier this week, bringing in the ballot boxes for tabulation. The count took place on the evening of May 22, 2025, at the local small business venue, and the unofficial results are now available. 


Currently leading the unofficial results is John F. Taweryan received 20 votes from absentee ballots, 30 from Tegailap, 30 from Wottegai, 100 from Falalop Woleai, 48 from ED #03, 39 from Falalis, and 21 from Seliap. Fabian Jr. Mwairal garnered 1 vote from absentee ballots, 2 from Tegailap, 12 from Wottegai, 29 from Falalop Woleai, 3 from ED #03, 39 from Falalis, and 21 from Seliap. 


Write-in candidate Vincent Tafileluw received 2 votes from absentee ballots, 0 from Tegailap, 1 from Wottegai, 1 from Falalop Woleai, 11 from ED #03, 1 from Falalis, and none from Seliap. These results are unofficial and pending certification by the election authority.
