The College of Micronesia FSM, Yap Campus Held a Graduation Ceremony

Yap FM - Yesterday, December 16th the College of Micronesia Yap Campus held a graduation ceremony at College of Micronesia, Federated States of Micronesia Yap Campus classroom block.

The graduation ceremony initially started at 10:00 am with an opening prayer by Pastor Amani Lalabalavu. The Masters of the Ceremony, Ms. Neolani Wes Ken and Mr. Serphin Ilesiuyalo then introduced the choir from the College of Micronesia, Federated States of Micronesia Yap Campus to sing the national anthem.

After the Masters of the Ceremony thanked the choir and called upon the Teacher Prep-Elementary Candidate Ms. Loreen Ilegilemal for the reading of the College Mission Statement.

The Dean for College of Micronesia Federated States of Micronesia Yap Campus, Ms. Lourdes Roboman then gave the opening remarks and welcomed all guests and candidates. Following this, the Masters of Ceremony then introduced the Capacity Building Program Manager, Ms. Bertha M. Reyuw for the keynote speech.

Dr. Joy Guarin then did the recommendation of Degrees and Certificates followed by the Conferral of Degrees and Certificates by the Secretary , Board of Regents, Ms. Geraldine Mitagyow.

Ms. Lourdes Roboman then presented the awarding of diplomas. Dr. Joy Guarin then announced the turning of tassels, symbolizing the transition of the students to graduates.

To close out the ceremony, the choir from the College of Micronesia, Federated States of Micronesia Yap Campus did a special number before the recessional of the graduates of Fall 2025
