The Colonia Middle School helds it Commencement Ceremony

Yap FM - In the spirit of graduation season, Colonia Middle School held its Commencement Ceremony on June 3 at the Colonia Middle School campus. The ceremony began at 10:00 a.m. and celebrated the achievements of the graduating class as they marked an important milestone in their educational journey.


To initiate the Commencement Ceremony, the Master of Ceremony, Mr. Brian Ramngen, welcomed all distinguished guests, graduates, faculty, and families to the Commencement Ceremony for the graduating class of 2026.


Following his welcoming remarks, everyone gathered in front of the school to witness the graduates make their way to the assigned seats dressed in their traditional local attire.


As the graduates reached their assigned seats, the Master of Ceremony, invited Mr. Amani for the opening prayer and asked if everyone would bow their heads as Amani L. proceeded to bless the Commencement Ceremony.


After a heartfelt prayer, the Master of Ceremony invited two distinguished guests, including the Yap Main Island Schools Coordinator, Charles Yalaarow, who attended the ceremony on behalf of the DOE Director, and Mayor Brian Yow Dabugsiy, for their special remarks. In their remarks, both guests emphasized how hard work and determination can positively shape a person's life. They encouraged the students to continue pursuing their education, noting that they are the future leaders of Yap State.


Following the inspiring remarks from the distinguished guests, the Master of Ceremonies and CMS Principal, Mr. John Sangog, presented the graduates with their Academic Year Awards. Graduate Ms. Bellannie R. Torwan then delivered a heartfelt speech, after which the distinguished guests and Principal Sangog presented the graduates with their certificates.


The ceremony continued with a farewell message from underclassman Ms. Jamilla Ganang, who wished the graduates success in their future endeavors. Principal Sangog then concluded the ceremony with words of encouragement and appreciation, commending the graduates for their hard work and achievements during their time at CMS."
