Yap FM - This past Friday, June 19th, the Division of Youth Services, in collaboration with the Yap Workforce Enrichment Division, hosted its first workshop of the summer at the YapCap Conference Room at 1:00 pm.
During the workshop, Ms. Hilda Tafledep, an Addiction Counselor at the Behavioral Health & Wellness Program, shared insights into the impact of decisions, big and small. This initiative will allow the participants to recognize that the importance of a decision is determined by its consequences, identify factors that influence the decisions an individual makes, and recognize and use their power to make decisions, even when the decisions are difficult.
Representatives from the U.S. Army also provided a summary of how the Army had influenced their lives. They shared their personal experiences in military service and highlighted the benefits of serving in the U.S. Army. These benefits include financial support, educational opportunities, healthcare coverage, and retirement plans, all of which help provide a secure future for soldiers and their families.
To close out the workshop, a representative from the United States Navy Seabees shared insights into the Navy Seabees' specialized roles in construction, engineering, disaster response, and military support operations, giving participants a better understanding of the skills and career opportunities available within the organization.
