Yap FM - This past Saturday, March 21st the Division of Youth Services held its 3rd Chess Tournament at the Division of Media and Protocol Main Office at 10:00 am.
The event started at 10:00 am with registration of participants followed by a brief introduction led by the Youth Recreation and Sports Coordinator, Mr. Maphrick Ruweday.
After the brief introduction, the youth participants broke into groups of two, to initially start the chess tournament.
At 12:00 pm, the youth participants took their lunch break before they played the final round of the Chess Tournament.
Around 3:00 pm the remaining team played the final round of the Chess Tournament, competing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
To close out the event, Mr. Maphrick Ruweday and several members of the Youth Planning Committee announced the winners and presented them with awards.
