Yap FM - This past Wednesday, June 3rd, the FSM Fisheries and Maritime Institute held a Training and Preventive Maintenance Program for the Rescue Boat/Life Boat Davits System and MV Hokuto at the Yap Fishing Authority dock.

During the Training and Preventive Maintenance Program, the cadets, including the faculty, engineers, and lead faculty, participated in the Davit Visual Inspection, Davit Mechanical Maintenance, Davit Functional Testing, Launch and Recovery Drill, Cadet Training Session and Final Inspection Documentation.

The Training and Preventive Maintenance Program for Rescue Boat/Life Boat Davits System and MV Hokuto ensures the safe operation, reliability, and compliance of the davit system for rescue boat/ life boat and Hokuto through planned cadets training, inspection, testing, servicing, and preventive maintenance activities.
