The Saint Mary’s School held a Graduation Ceremony

Yap FM - This past Monday, Saint Mary’s School held a Graduation Ceremony at the Saint Mary’s School gym at 5:00 pm.
The ceremony began as the graduates made their way to their assigned seats, dressed in vibrant traditional local attire. The procession was followed by welcoming remarks from Principal Rufino Xavier. Principal Xavier warmly welcomed everyone to Saint Mary’s School’s annual graduation ceremony as they gathered to celebrate the graduates’ success and achievements.
Following Principal Rufino’s remarks, Pastor Rich gave his opening prayer, blessing the graduation and asking for God's blessing and guidance upon the graduates as they pursue the next stage of their education.
After a heartfelt prayer, the 8th-grade teacher, Louisa Ilyaw, called upon each graduate to stand as she proudly presented Saint Mary’s School Graduating Class of 2026.
Once all the graduates were standing, Teacher Ilyaw asked if everyone could rise and join the graduates for the FSM National Anthem.
At the end of the National Anthem, the Salutatorian, Klarrisa Tamngug, gave her remarks, formally welcoming everyone and acknowledging the achievements of the graduating class.
Following Ms. Klarissa Tamngug’s speech, the graduates sang a school song entitled “ Oh Saint Mary.
The ceremony then continued with a speech presented by the guest speaker, Mrs. Susan Gooliyan. In her remarks, she extended her gratitude and appreciation towards the teachers and staff for their unwavering support and dedication in educating the students.
Following her speech, Principal Rufino, along with Teacher Ilyaw and Martin Ruwniyol, presented the graduates with certificates, along with gifts from the COMFSM-CRE.
Principal Rufino also invited the distinguished guests to formally present each graduate with their diplomas.
As the graduates return to their seats, the Valedictorian, Josh Gisog for his farewell address. In his address, Josh Gisog bid farewell to his remarkable class and expressed his sincere gratitude for the memories, lessons, friendships, and support that have shaped their journey.
To close out the ceremony, the 7th graders sang a farewell song dedicated to the graduates, followed by the closing prayer presented by Father Sengebard.
Before the graduates marched out, a graduate, Cladeus Kyle Peckalibe, formally made an announcement, kindly asking everyone to make way as the graduates marched out to their assigned areas.
