The Yap High School hosted a Handover Ceremony for new agriculture classroom building

Yap FM - Last week Friday, March 27th, the Yap High School hosted a Handover Ceremony of the new agriculture classroom building in Yinuf Rull.
The ceremony began at 11:00 am with the introduction by the Master of Ceremony, Principal John Tamngin. In the introduction the Master of Ceremony recognized the Governor of Yap State, Governor Francis Itimai, off-island guests, and contractors, followed by the opening prayer given by Pastor John J. Malmai.
After Pastor John Malmai’s opening prayer, Governor Francis Itimai gave his welcoming remarks. In his remarks, Governor Itimai highlighted the importance of this infrastructure and how it would benefit the students.
Afterwards, the Madam Secretary of the National Department of Education, Ms. Gardenia Aisek, gave her special remarks. In her remarks, Madam Secretary paid her respects to the traditional leaders and Governor Francis Itimai. Madam Secretary also emphasized that this new building would help the students enhance critical thinking, understanding of the food system, cultural and historical awareness, practical skills, and career exploration.
The Master of Ceremony then introduced the representative from the Yap State Department of Education, Mr. Charles Yalaarow for his closing remarks.
After Mr. Yalaarow’s remarks, the Master of Ceremony led everyone to the new agriculture classroom building to start the ribbon cutting, initiating the handover of the new agriculture classroom building.
Once the ribbon was cut by Madam Secretary Gardenia Aisek, Governor Francis Itimai, and Mr. Charles Yalaarow, Pastor John J. Malmai gave a closing prayer to bless the new building.
