Yap FM - Last Thursday, April 16th, at Pine Bar, an informal reception was held that brought together government officials and community leaders to thank and recognize the Vice President of the Federated States of Micronesia, Honorable Aren B. Palik, along with his key staff, for their visit to Yap. The main purpose of their visit was to join the Yap State Leadership to visit the Outer Islands of Yap, which was postponed due to urgent matters caused by the recent typhoon Sinlaku.
This event began at 6:00 pm with an introduction given by the Master of the Ceremony. The Master of the Ceremony introduced the program, welcomed attendees and highlighted the purpose of the gathering. This was followed by remarks from National Election Director Ausen Lambert.
The Floor Leader, Terrence Fong, then delivered remarks emphasizing collaboration between state leadership and national institutions, and the importance of unity in addressing key challenges. On behalf of Congress, Congressman Andrew Yatilman also addressed the audience and shared insights on public service priorities and commitment.
The reception provided an opportunity for dialogue and connection among attendees. It also displayed a mutual friendship and unity between the National Government and the Yap State Leadership.
