The Yap State Legislature held the 4th Session Day of the 4th Regular Session, proposing Ivan B. E. Kadannged to be Lieutenant Governor of the State of Yap

Yap FM - On January 21st, Governor Francis Itimai issued a letter to Speaker Nicholas Figirlaarwon of the Eleventh Yap State Legislature regarding the nomination of the Lieutenant Governor Position.


In the letter, Governor Francis Itimai stated, “I am transmitting my nomination of Mr.

Ivan B. E. Kadannged for you and the Members of the Yap State Legislature's consideration and consent to the Lieutenant Governor position in accordance with Yap State Law No. I I-1 49, Section 159”.


On Thursday, February 5th, the Eleventh Yap State Legislature held the 4th Session Day of the 4th Regular Session at the Yap State Legislature Chamber.


During this session, Speaker Figirlaarwon, along with members of the Eleventh Yap State Legislature casted their votes through a secret ballot.


The Chief Clerk then counted the votes, and six members were in favor, while four of the members were not in favor.


Therefore, Resolution No.11-149: Confirming Ivan B. E. Kadannged to serve as the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Yap was not adopted.
