Two Yap State Representatives received the Oath of Office to the FSMPC and NORMA Boards

Yap FM - Yesterday, June 11th, two Yap State Representatives, Mrs. Maria Laaw and Mr. Peter Garamfel, received the Oath of Office to the FSMPC and NORMA Boards in the Office of the FSM President, in Palikir, Pohnpei.


His Excellency, Aren B. Palik, administered the Oath of Office to Mrs. Maria Laaw, who represents the private sector, and was sworn in for a second term on the Board of Directors of the Federated States of Micronesia Petroleum Corporation (FSMPC).


His Excellency also administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Peter Garamfel, who was sworn in for another term on the Board of Directors of the National Oceanic Resource Management Authority (NORMA).


During the ceremony, Vice President Palik congratulated the two board members on their appointments and thanked them for their continued dedication to public service. He underscored the importance of FSMPC and NORMA in promoting the nation’s development, noting their key responsibilities in managing the country’s fuel supply and safeguarding its marine resources for the benefit of current and future generations.


The oath-taking ceremony marked the continuation of their service and reaffirmed their dedication to supporting the vital work of their respective organizations. Their reappointments underscore the trust and confidence placed in their leadership, experience, and unwavering commitment to advancing the interests of the Federated States of Micronesia.
