Update from the Department of Public Works and Transportation: May 2025 Tuesday, May 13, 2025, /// DYCA PIO

YAP, FM- As of May 2025, two cargo vessels have visited the Yap Port: the Kyowa Falcon, which arrived on April 30 and departed on May 6, and the Kota Ratu, which was in port from May 5 to May 6. The Hapilmohol 2 (H2) has completed its third voyage for this fiscal year and is preparing for its fourth, scheduled to depart on May 21 at 4:00 PM. Travel Authorization (TA) and cargo booking for Voyage 4 are currently open and will close on May 14 at 4:30 PM.


Passenger booking will be open from May 14 at 7:30 AM to May 16 at 4:30 PM, and through gate cargo will be accepted from May 19 to May 20, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. 


In air travel, United Airlines completed four landings at Yap International Airport between April 27 and May 7, bringing in 232 passengers and departing with 209. Pacific Mission Aviation (PMA) made 14 landings in Yap carrying 73 travelers, 3 landings in Ulithi with 3 travelers, 4 landings in Fais with 5 travelers, and 8 landings to and from Palau with 36 travelers, between April 22 and May 7. Asian Pacific Airlines (APA) has made two landings at Yap Airport this month, on May 1 and May 8.
