Update: Tropical Storm Hagupit moves West North-West

Yap FM - TROPICAL STORM HAGUPIT MOVING WEST-NORTHWEST

TS Hagupit was located...8.7N 138.9E:

About 80 miles southeast of Yap

About 100 miles east-southeast of Ngulu

About 110 miles southwest of Ulithi

About 110 miles west-southwest of Sorol

About 130 miles west-southwest of Fais

Movement: West-Northwest at 280 degrees at 11 mph

Maximum sustained winds: 45 mph

Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Fais, Ulithi, Ngulu, and Yap Proper.

A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions,

Including winds of 39 to 73 mph, are expected within 24 hours.

TS Hagupit's maximum sustained wind remains at 45 mph, moving west-northwest at

11 mph. Hagupit is expected to maintain this general course with a decreased speed

through Saturday as it passes through or just south of Yap proper. Hagupit is

forecast to intensify through Saturday, but is expected to remain a tropical storm.
