Yap State – Tuesday, May 13, 2025, Viliame Tuinadi Lagonilakeba was officially sworn in as the Attorney General of Yap State. The swearing-in ceremony was led at the Governors Conference room by Chief Justice Cyprian Manmaw of the Yap State Court.

Several government officials attended the event, including Lt. Governor Francis Itimai, Director of the Administrative Services Office, Thomas G. Tun, Director of Youth and Civic Affairs, Alex Gilfiley, Director of Resources and Development, and the Director of Public Works and Transportation along with accompanying staffs. The new Attorney General’s wife was also present to witness the ceremony.

The event marked an important moment for Yap State as Mr. Lagonilakeba took on his new role to lead the Office of the Attorney General.
