Weekly Health Update: No Alert Wednesday, May 14, 2025, /// DYCA PIO

Yap, FM – This week, 19 illness cases were reported, but all are below the alert level.

13 flu-like cases were mostly from the main hospital and a few from Ulithi. 5 diarrhea cases were reported, slightly more than last week. Two tested positive for norovirus and other stomach bugs. and

1 prolonged fever case from Gagil tested negative for dengue and leptospirosis.

No cases were reported for rash with fever, dengue-like illness, and severe respiratory infection. However; lab tests found norovirus, sapovirus, and different types of E. coli and C. difficile.

Although the weekly health update  is below alert levels, the community is encouraged to keep following good hygiene practices.
