Weekly Health Update – No Syndromic Alert last  Week Wednesday, June 25, 2025, /// DYCA PIO

Yap, FM - This week, there are no health alerts for any monitored syndromes. Reports show a drop in the number of diarrhea and flu-like illness cases compared to last week, with both staying well below the alert level. Only 2 diarrhea cases were reported, both seen at the hospital's outpatient department and diagnosed as lactose intolerance and presumed infectious diarrhea.


 Flu-like illnesses also went down, with 9 cases in total, 8 from the main hospital and 1 from Tegailap Dispensary. These were diagnosed as conditions like the common cold, asthma, pneumonia, and ear infections. No cases were reported for other monitored illnesses such as rash with fever, dengue-like illness, or severe respiratory infections. Lab tests this week detected a few infections, including 5 cases of chlamydia, 2 of trichomonas, and single cases of syphilis, MRSA, ESBL E. coli, and human rhinovirus/enterovirus.
