A student debate was held today at the Yap State Supreme Court, where two local high schools Yap Catholic High School and Yap High School faced off in a friendly and thoughtful competition.
The topic of the debate was: "BE IT RESOLVED that the Federated States of Micronesia shall restrict access to all online social media platforms for minor children under the age of 18, including, but not limited to, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube."
Students from both schools presented arguments for and against the idea of limiting social media use for minors.
After consideration, the judges announced that Yap Catholic High School was the winner of the debate. The students who won are listed below.

Martin Edilyong
Aryon Southwick.
The School that won this debate will represent Yap State in the FSM National Law day Debate.
