Yap FM - Yap Communicable Disease Report for Epidemiological Week 24, covering the period of June 08–14, 2026. This report presents a comprehensive overview of syndromic trends and activities from 23 sentinel sites across the state, including laboratory‑confirmed cases, public health updates, and recommendations.
Week’s Highlights:
Total Encounters: 580 patient encounters were reported across 22 sentinel sites, with all syndromes reporting below threshold, presenting no Alert this week.
Influenza-Like Illness (ILI): 10 ILI cases all reported by OPD Main Hospital.
No influenza tests were conducted this week by Lab.
Diarrhea (below threshold this week): 5 cases, all reported by OPD Main Hospital.
Laboratory results confirmed 5 patients positive with 1 or more diarrheal pathogens, with the following distribution:
Campylobacter (2 patients)
Salmonella (2 patients)
EAEC (1 patient)
EPEC (2 patients)
EIEC (1 patient)
Norovirus + Rotavirus (1 patient)
Cryptosporidium (1 patient)
Total Syndromic Cases: 19 cases reported across sentinel sites.
