Yap FM - Yap Communicable Disease Report Week 12, of 2026, covering the period from March 16, 2026, to March 22, 2026. The Communicable Disease Report offers a summary of significant syndromic trends and activities reported from 23 sentinel sites throughout the state, including laboratory-confirmed cases as well as public health updates and recommendations.
No Alerts: The number of syndromes reported this week is below the threshold, presenting minimal risks.
Syndrome count, and reporting Sites:
Diarrhea – A total of 6 cases of diarrhea were reported, with Satawal and Lamotrek Dispensary each documenting 2 cases, while Nimgil CHC also reported 2 cases, and no laboratory tests were conducted for these instances.
Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) – Compared to the report from last week, the number of ILI cases has dropped to 4 encounters this week, with these 4 cases being reported from Satawal Dispensary.
Dengue-like illness (DLI) – The OPD at the Main Hospital reported 1 DLI case.
NOTE: This week, there are ongoing reports of Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD), with a cumulative total of 6 cases. These include 3 cases at OPD Main Hospital, 1 at Gagil CHC, and 2 at Marbaa CHC, which increases the total number of HFMD cases for the year to 61.
