YAP, FM-Yap High School held its very first Job Fair earlier today May 08, 2025 to help students learn about different careers and plan for life after graduation.
Several groups attended and shared useful information. The Agriculture team talked about the type of work they do and how they help protect the environment. Centerlane shared details about construction work, the equipment they use, and why certain steps are important in their jobs.
The Department of Resources and Development also took part. The scholarship coordinator explained the scholarships available and what students need to qualify. The training coordinator talked about Job Corps, including how to apply and what is required.
Students also got helpful resume tips from school staff. The Home Economics class gave demonstrations on cooking and sewing.
The goal of the Job Fair was to give Yap High School students more ideas about career options and help them start thinking about their future.
