Yap State Hospital Reports Low Syndromic Illness Cases; Monitoring Continues Friday, December 20, 2024//DYCA PIO

Yap, FSM –This week, the hospital reported three cases of Influenza-like Illness (ILI), all of which remain below the threshold level. Additionally, two cases of Dengue-like Illness (DLI) were reported at the OPD. In the hospital ward, a newborn was tested for Dengue and a 42-year-old female was tested for Leptospirosis, with both tests returning negative results. Apart from the three ILI and two DLI cases, no other syndromic illnesses were reported.

A total of 19 out of 23 reporting sites submitted data this week, with the main hospital being the only site to report syndromic illnesses.
