Yap, FSM- The Yap State Public Services Corporation (YSPSC) Water Plant Division has announced that a scheduled water system flushing is currently underway. The flushing, which began on Thursday, January 16, 2025, and will continue through Friday, January 17, 2025, is part of routine maintenance to remove accumulated sediment from the water distribution lines.

During this time, YSPSC customers may experience water discoloration and a temporary decrease in water pressure. These occurrences are normal and part of the flushing process. The water plant division urges all customers to take caution and avoid using water for non-essential purposes during this period.
