Yap FM - On Wednesday, September 9th, members of the Yap Student Organization (YSO) showcased Yapese culture through traditional dances during the Association of Pacific Islands Public Auditors (APIPA) Dinner held at the Mangrove Bay Hotel in Pohnpei.
The performance allowed YSO students to represent Yap and share an important part of their cultural heritage with APIPA members and other guests from across the region. The students’ participation highlighted the rich traditions of Yap while promoting greater appreciation for the diverse cultures of the Federated States of Micronesia.
YSO expressed its sincere appreciation to APIPA for the invitation and for providing the students with an opportunity to share their culture. The organization also thanked all YSO members whose time, effort, and teamwork helped make the performance possible.
The event served as a meaningful opportunity for students to celebrate their heritage, represent their island with pride, and strengthen cultural connections within the region.
