Yap FM - Early Wednesday at 2:00 a.m., members of the Division of Youth Services, together with several members of the Youth Planning Committee, welcomed home the delegation representing Yap State at the Annual Children Exchange Program in Japan.
The group of 12 students departed Yap on June 14 and returned early Wednesday morning, June 24, accompanied by two chaperones from the Department of Youth and Civic Affairs.
The youth exchange initiative, organized under the National Institution for Youth Education, is designed to promote personal development, self-reliance, and cross-cultural understanding among young participants. Through structured activities, community engagement, and experiential learning opportunities, the program encourages students to broaden their perspectives while developing valuable life skills.
This year, twelve students were selected to participate in the program, where they had the opportunity to interact with peers, exchange ideas, and learn practical skills in a supportive environment that emphasizes cooperation, mutual respect, and active listening.
The Division of Youth Services congratulates the participants on successfully completing the program and welcomes them back to Yap, where they can share their experiences and apply the knowledge and skills gained during their time in Japan.
