FSM President Visits Yap State to Attend FMI Commencement Ceremony

Yap FM -  Earlier today, August 26th, FSM President His Excellency Wesley W. Siminia, along with the FSM First Lady, Madam Ancelly Simina, arrived in Yap at 1:00 a.m. 

The President and First Lady were accompanied by Chief of Staff Ms. Yolanda Joab Mori, Special Assistant Mr. Jack Harris, and FSM Public Information Officer Mr. Jermis Noket.

President Simina is visiting Yap to attend the FMI Commencement Ceremony scheduled for Friday, August 28. His attendance reflects his administration's continued support for students, graduates, and the broader development of education throughout the FSM.

Education remains a key priority for President Simina, who has consistently emphasized the importance of investing in the nation's young people and strengthening opportunities for higher education and workforce development.

As part of this commitment, President Simina has expressed strong support for the College of Micronesia-FSM (COM-FSM) and its role in preparing FSM citizens to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the nation. The college serves as an important institution for developing the skills, knowledge, and leadership needed to meet the FSM's current and future workforce needs.

The President's participation in Friday's commencement ceremony provides an opportunity to recognize the achievements of the graduating class while reaffirming the national government's commitment to education as an essential foundation for the FSM's future.

The commencement ceremony will bring together graduates, families, faculty, government leaders, and members of the community to celebrate an important milestone in the lives of the graduating students.
