Monday, October 26, 2026 /// DYCA PIO
Yap FM - The FSM Telecommunications Cable Corporation (FSMTCC) carried out scheduled road cutting and crossing work in the Talguw area near Gilmar Store and V6AI Radio Station on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as part of the ongoing underground fiber network installation throughout Yap Island.
The work began at 8:30 a.m. and was scheduled to continue until completion. To minimize traffic disruptions, the road cutting was planned in two halves, allowing one half of the road to remain open to motorists during the cutting and fiber installation process.
Motorists traveling through the area were advised to exercise caution, follow traffic guidance provided at the work site, and remain alert to ensure the safety of workers and other road users.
FSMTCC apologized for any inconvenience caused by the work and thanked the public for their patience, understanding, and cooperation as the underground fiber network installation continues across Yap Island.
